Handed in my aq on 10th April and received a letter from the court today dated 11th April saying the following.... "IT IS ORDERED THAT Unless the Defendant do file an Allocation Questionnaire by 4.00pm on the 20th April 2007 their Defence will hereby be struck out and the Claimant will be at liberty to request judgement be entered in Default" Can anyone tell me whether this is standard procedure or whther this is better than normal? 7. Well everyone, my prelim letter is done, my LBA has been and gone, I've had an offer from the bank and politely accepted (but only as part settlement) and since heard nothing back from them. So, today I'm off to take my claim to court to try and get the court date. Here goes! Good luck to any of you out there fighting the financial oppression
  8. Hello again I'm just preparing to send my letter out and I was wondering whether stating the relevant Acts that the Bank is breaching helps in any way to speed up the process? Thanks Damien
  9. Hi Martin tors Thanks for the message. i think one of the administrators have kindly put my thread on the right track. Have added up the charges and will look at the relevant letters to send off tomorrow. If anyone has any good tips to pass on I'm all ears....
  10. Hi Martin That's very reassuring, thanks Time to start checking back through the bank statements then and doing some sums.... Kind Regards Damien
  11. Hi Michael Thanks for your reply, most helpful! Just been reading some success stories of people that have claimed against HSBC and it has given me a lot of confidence to start working out my sums and get my claim underway. One question that I have, don't know whether you can help or point me in the right direction.... I have a managed loan with them as well of quite a bit of money and I'm really concerned about the possibility of them closing my account in retaliation and asking for all the money back within so many days (which I have no chance of doing). Do you know what the chance of them doing this are at all, and whether I'd have any defence against it? Thanks once again Damien
  12. Hi everyone I've just joined today after hearing about the website and the amazing way it's helping people to fight back against unlawful bank charges a couple of days ago. being someone who constantly gets the best part of £100 bank charges (plus overdraft interest) most months I'm looking to try and claim back whatever I can from HSBC (especially seeing as I had the displeasure of working for them for 7 years straight out of school! lol). If anybody has any particular advice about what to do and how to go about it I would be particularly grateful. Well, that's it for now, I'm off to read the FAQ's and see what I can learn. Yours in anticipation Damien
