I know, I was beginning to resign myself to filing in court! However, on the letter I wasn sent it states that the refund would be paid within 7 days of them receiving my acceptance letter. I rang today to check they had received the letter and to see when the money would be paid into my account. They noe tell me it takes 14 days. I sthere anything I can do about this as it clearly states on the letter 7 days?

Yeah, they said they were not paying interest at all, and that if it got to court they were confident it would go in their favour!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All, No I didnt get to filing a claim at the courts, they sent the offer letter 12 days after I sent them the LBA.

Hi All, Just looking for a bit of moral support! Sent my LBA last week and still heard nothing, in fact the hsbc have ignored all of my correpondence apart from an initial standard letter to say they are looking into my claim. So, it looks like I will be completing the MCOL soon, was hoping it wouldnt get to this point, getting a bit scary now. What happens after that is completed? Will I hear from the bank then?

Hi, Wondered if anyone had any advice. In the process of claiming back bank charges from hsbc, and today applied for a basic cashminder account with co op. They said they would let me know in 48 hours as it was deferred. I got a copy of my credit file and i applied for a mortgage last year from nationwide for which I was declined and then applied elsewhere for which I was accepted for but did not take out in the end, both of these have left footprints on my file. Does anyone know if it is possible to have these removed as I know it appears to people doing the searches that if there is a search and no opened account follwing, they assume it was declined, and then it looks bad. Any advice really appreciated!

Hi All, I have just sent off my letter before action to the hsbc bank. Does anyone have any advice on if I should be doing anything while I am waiting during the next 14 days. The hsbc have not responded to my claim for the charges to be refunded, although when I rang I was told it was being looked into. However the 14 days are up today so I have sent the LBA. Am I doing right so far??? Nell
