  1. I recieved a ccj back in 2005 from egg credit card. I recently requested a copy of the Default Notice which they were unable to produce. Where do I stand on this ? I do not recall ever recieving a default notice, yet i recieved a ccj. The account has been settled however is not showing on my credit report as settled. - idealy i would like it removed but not sure if im eligible as it was paid over 5 months. Mike

    Egg & CCJ

Hi, i currently have legal proceedings against egg for the sum of £468 which has now gone to county court as they failed to respond in time. My question is, I received a CCJ from egg back in 2005 due to the account payments (minimum) being paid the day after the billing date and thus incurring late payment fees and over limit fees. If my claim is successful can i then have the CCJ removed from my file ? Thanks M
  3. ok we have a result. by pure chance the finance company phoned me asking for further information on my employer as they had yet to finalise the agreement. at this point i told bh not to bother !
  4. could i write a letter to black horse stating that i would like the car within 10 days otherwise the agreement is void ? send it recorded delivery ? I have not even driven the car, however i have signed all paper work. I am going to speak to the general manager of the dealership as he is the only one who can cancel the agreement with BH. i will give them the chance to end it now quietly. Otherwise they are selling me a car i now dont want and i will make their life hell.
  5. chase it up and find out what is happening, they will act ! just a simple threat with the financial ombusman should suffice !
  6. i have a blackberry pearl on o2 with unlimited data and email, 500 minutes any time and unlimited texts. only costs me £45 a month and i have a better phone than the iphone !!
  7. they have a process which they have to follow, however i would be phoning to find out what the status is. i very much doubt they will go down the route of cctv etc as they will have so many claims to handle. i used to work in fraud for morgan stanley many moons ago.
  8. Here is my problem..... I went to my local Vauxhall dealer: Evans Halshaw Grangemouth and went to buy an astra diesel. I walked in told the dealer what i wanted and he had just the car so, I signed the paperwork on the 02.02.2008 and paid my £100 deposit. The finance company phoned me on the 05.02.2008 and told me what the monthly payments would be and that it was approved and accepted. I returned to the dealer on the 06.02.2008 and signed the black horse paperwork. The condition of the sale was "repair paintwork to various areas on car" I was assured that the vehicle would be with me in a week and that all would be well. I have had to constantly phone and chase up the garage to find out what is happending with my car and when it will be ready. The dealer assured me that my car would be out of the bodyshop and ready for me to drive away on 19.02.2008. However..... the car was presented to me in a condition that was utterly unaceptable. 1.Rust on n/s sill 2.Rust on n/s wheel arch 3.O/S wing mirror different colour than N/S 4.Scratch on O/S passenger door 5.Stone chips on bonnet and bumper 6.O/S front and rear doors both had poor paint repairs done, over spray and laquer peeling/bubbled. 7.Car had not been fueled up. I did not move the car or even open to check the interior, i handed the keys back to the salesman and said that i was not accepting the car in its current condition. Both the salesman, sales manager and general manager all stood around the car and admited that they were to blame and that it was not on. So here is my problem.... Black horse have paid for the car, i dont want it and its still at dealers. Black horse have said that its between me and the dealer What can i do ? Im stuck with a 4 year hire purchase agreement !
