  1. Hi tel.gibo Which letter do you mean? the one asking for statements, Preliminary or Letter before Action ie court, We used all the ones on here(templates) and followed the steps in issuing them. The wording is pretty straight forward Try this link http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ Then use these templates http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/ Good luck
  2. Thanks SSL for all your help. I know this wasn't as complicated as some, but, you always responded when needed which meant a lot to us. Keep up the good work, it does become addictive though I have one other claim going through and another being prepared so I will be back !
  3. Thanks dophin939. No just the LBA , we received a letter a few days before offering half, we refused, then we rang them using the number in the letter. Even though they offered 400 short of the full amount we still said no. We left it over the weekend then rang them on the Monday morning and told them unless they rang us before 12 oclock that day offering to pay the full amount we where going to file at court, it was a twitchy couple of hours but they rang before 12 and the rest is history!!!!
  4. Yabba Dabba Doo !!! Paid into my daughters account yesterday the full amount. and we didnt have to file at court !! :D My advice to anybody reclaiming, read the FAQs,follow the step by step guide, hold your nerve and ask on here there is a lot of help available Especially near the seaside. Thanks to all concerned a donation will be on its way
  5. Hi SSL Will do, are there any instances that you are aware of, where they have said they will pay and then haven't done?
  6. Well we rang the number and after a bit of discussion it ended with them offering £400 short of the full amount --- We refused it !!! They said think about it over the weekend and they will ring back. So tuesday morning we rung them and said unless you pay the full amount by twelve oclock we file at court, at 11.45 they rang and agreed to pay the full amount, The amount offered in the letter will be in the account in the next few days the rest within 14 days. It looks like we have done it but the celebrating wont start till its in the account, but have to say its looking good
  7. Well, out of the blue just before we went to file for court They wrote offering half of what they owe, in the letter is a phone number to ring if we are unhappy with the amount, We will ring tomorrow. It looks like we are going to get the charges back Hope we arent counting our chickens ect !!
  8. This link may be of use https://www.halifax.co.uk/easycash/pdf/HalifaxEyTandC.pdf
  9. Ironically I have started to do another claim, again family member, I think Ill be the one that goes grey first !! I had a natwest account , now closed, when I sent off for statements I found three charges total £75, I might pursue that one
  10. Seaside lady I have just spotted your posting tally 1,613 !!! well done. Where do you find the time I'm usually trawling this site from midnight onwards
  11. Thanks SSL, I had seen that, but posts that referred to fast track and multitrack confused me slighty
  12. Just an update,-- 7days left on the LBA then its make your mind up time Can anyone give me an idea of the cost when we file at the court bear in mind it is over £5000.
  13. Not sure if these are of any use they are 2006 https://www.halifax.co.uk/easycash/pdf/HalifaxEyTandC.pdf
  14. Hi Lulu just found your thread, re the charges, the halifax did the same with us, they just sent us a list of charges we sent a prelim off and they responded within fourteen days. It was the usual, complaint not justified, so the LBA goes out tommorow good luck with your claim
  15. Hope so, and will do. I suppose everyone gets a bit twitchy when they receive the terms and conditions, commercially sensative ect letter Well even though the charges are over £5000 we are still going for it nervously !! Will my daughter need to add her husbands name to any paperwork, it is a joint mortgage?
