  1. I'm getting really fed up now:mad: Been making my claim with the Halifax for bank charges since the end of December. Made my court claim on 2nd March. Halifax sent me a full settlement offer on 8th March which I signed and sent back on Friday 9th March so I assume they would've got it Monday 12th at the latest. I sent it recorded as everything else but the RM website isn't telling me whether it's been delivered. It will be 2 weeks this coming monday and I still haven't had a cheque or the money in my account. What do I do now??? what do the judgement things mean on the website for my court claim? What happens if I tick one of these and enter? Been checking my bank account everyday and last night they put the money in my account, ofcourse I've been on ebay all night LOL BUT!! they have only given my basic charges back and not the 8% I was claiming and my £50 court fee? What can I do to get this back???
  2. Well, hubby eventually got through to the correct number yesterday and a nice lady rang him back and gave him her email address to forward the letters that we'd already posted. Then she has passed them onto the guy who has been assigned to deal with the bank charge problem!! We've been told we should hear within 10 days - we shall see!!
  3. Thanks hun but I've already done all that. They've aleady had one lot of £10 from me Will let you know the outcome after hubby has rang them in a bit
  4. Sorry, i do not know all the jargon. The 1st letter was that requesting statements, £10 cheque included which was cashed just 2 days after they received the letter which yes was sent Recorded. The 2nd letter was a kick up the bum letter. Repeating the initial letter plus threatening legal action if they do not respond. But obviously I cannot do the MCOL thing without knowing a figure. My hubby is going to ring them this afternoon and find out what's going on Thanks Mel
  5. I am trying to claim charges back for hubby through First National tricity Finance. I wrote the preliminary letter on January 16th, 40 days passed and nothing. I wrote the 2nd letter threatening legal action on February 27th, now 14 days has passed and still nothing. What do I do next? How can I make a legal claim without knwowing the figure of what they owe hubby?? HELP:( Mel
  6. I decided to claim charges back made by Studio cards on my account which is now with debt recovery. I requested statements on 16th January. They sent them on 28th Jan. I sent back claiming the amount on 29th Jan. Yesterday I got a letter saying they had taken the full £222 off my outstanding debt, leaving just £75 to pay. MEGA SPEEDY!!! didn't expect it to be that quick with Studio. Still waiting for Halifax which I started on 11th Dec. Mel
  7. Thanks guys, I went and had a play and it worked out £50 so I think I can manage that no probs
  8. I am very close to putting in my claim against Halifax. I was just wondering how much this is going to cost me to do via www.moneyclaim.gov.uk just so I can have the funds ready

Does anyone have the correct address to send my 1st letter to. I thought there was a catalogue forum but can't seem to find it now Thanks Mel
  10. Thanks Joty that's great. My claim s only for just over £200 so it shouldn't cost much atall but I'm hoping that for such a small claim it won't get that far
  11. My studio and Grattan accounts have turned into CCjs now. Can I still claim charges back?
  12. How much does it cost if you get as far as court proceedings
