I had a personal loan from HSBC with payment protection insurance via Norwich Union. I was made redundant from my job over a year ago now and continued to make my loan payments. I don't want another job nor am i claiming any benefits as my husband has his own business and it suits us better for me to stay home and do his paperwork etc, however i realised i had the PPI on my loan so thought i might as well use it for a while, after all i have paid for it and was made redundant but they are refusing to pay out as i am not claiming benefits/registered with emploment service/actively looking for another job. Do i have a leg to stand on? Can i force them to pay out or reasonably expect my premiums refunded? It does say in the policy about looking for another job but that came after i had signed the loan agreement and ticked the payment protection box and in anycase at that time i probably thought i would want another job, circumstances change. What would anyone advise i do please?
