  1. I purchased a treadmill from a company called BodyPower UK, within weeks the machine developed a mechanical fault. The fault was reported to the purchase store who then passed my details to the manufacturers based in Spain. I was contacted on a few occasions regarding the fault and eventually it was decided a replacement was required. The replacement arrived a few weeks later after mix ups with dates etc on the companies part. The second machine was into a few weeks use when it just ‘died’. I contacted the after sales representative that had contacted me about the previous machine, directly via email. The complete electronic board was replaced, the machine had also become noisy on use and this was reported to the engineer. Apparently the bearings had gone on the front roller, so these were ordered and replaced a week later also. After very little use in following 2 months or so, the belt on the machine begins to slip, and eventually just stops and reports and error message on the display. Again after sales are contacted, this time I ask for a refund or replacement ‘model’ as this one is obviously riddled with faults. In my email I mention ‘the belt has been tightened on numerous occasions’. The contact now takes this and runs with it stating the warranty is now void as I have said I have tightened the belt on numerous occasions and this can cause damage. I reply stating I did not I had tighten it and was referring to it being tightened/adjusted when the engineer has been out. His reply states apparently the failure rate is very low amongst these machines and it seems I have damaged the machine as previously stated, so again the warranty is void. Both the after sales and myself have contacted the UK supplier, it has been two days and no reply has been received to my voice and emails from them. I have now had 2 machines within 6 months, both of which have developed faults and subsequently I am being told I have damaged the goods and warranty will not be honoured. Please tell me where I stand with this now, I suspect the UK Company will fob me off too, but i am not willing to take this lying down.
