  2. Thank you for enlightening us re Mr Gary Kettle. We suspected he did not exist last year when he started 'borrowing' money from our account and I tried to speak with him. Even the manager of my branch was not told he wasn't real. She could get nothing from his department and we were no wiser as to the sudden slashing of our overdraft. I am sending a preliminary letter tomorrow to claim back £1778-00 mostly from the past eighteen months. If it wasn't so serious, it would be laughable. But I will wait for my money back before smiling. Cheers all and good luck. Warm wishes Andy Moore
  3. Thanks for this. I have applied to another bank today and am awaiting a reply. I want this opened as soon as because the Halifax is queuing up to take my money now. I know it's my own stupid fault for getting in this situation in the first place and I do feel an ass, but this is beyond the pale now. I also agree about the revenge bit. I feel like ice at the moment. What a wonderful site. It has opened up a whole new world. Up to today I thought these robbers were allowed to do this. I am looking forward to the day they return all that money I have so kindly loaned them over the years.I wonder how much it is? Cheers and thanks a bundle. Andy
  4. I sent an e-mail to CEO Halifax PLC in February asking him very kindly would he mind awfully giving me back the £1427-00 I have loaned to the bank in the last 18 months in charges. That got a big fat NO! from their so-called 'Customer Relations Manager. I have sent another today informing him of the NO! and asking him for the £256-00 more that they have taken since 03 Feb 2006. I can't believe it! It's like 'open season' on Andy's bank account. Soon as a cheque clears they grab it - almost all of it. Last week they took £78-00 which took me overdrawn, then they prompty charged me £39-00 for being overdrawn. This is legalised robbery, much like Insurance. If they don't give me my money back I am going back the whole six years. I reckon there must be nearly four grand there. I will await the next NO! and then go for the whole lot. I have kept bank records for last eight years. I am really bloody angry now. These people should be helping us - not ripping us off! I'll have 'em! Good luck, everyone. Andy
