  1. I'm sorry to be completely dim but I'm tearing my hair out (and suffering from pregnancy brain shrinkage which doesn't help)... Am trying to complete the England excel spreadsheet for credit card charges but it doesn't seem to make sense: Is column h 'statement balance' the amount which is described as 'present balance' on my statement, or the closing balance of the last statement? Whatever I put in h, the figure it calculates in j is wrong anyway because whilst it takes off the payment I made (column i) it does NOT take account of interest added plus any use of card so the 'remaining balance' in j will never match what my statement says, or the figures for next month! Can anyone help me please, what do I do?? Thanks!
  2. Hi papadak Looks similar to a letter we received (but they've also tried fobbing off our personal account in with business account I think as well). I've started a new thread VS HSBC Business as advised. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/hsbc-bank/101536-hsbc-business-claim.html We have no idea how to break down the charges as the statements don't detail what they are for... Will keep an eye on your thread! Good luck
  3. Husband and I are claiming against HSBC for a combination of personal and limited business (we were both directors) accounts and sent the letter requesting £2,945 in total then received a long letter which only refers to the business account number, BUT to the total £ amount we are reclaiming from BOTH the accounts. It tells us: 1. the OFT statement re default charges relates only to credit cards, not business overdrafts; 2. they will not consider reimbursement of "previously requested services" or "that were pre-agreed and notified to you including money transmissions, facility fees, stopped cheque charges, acquiring charges...", but they will review the claim for overdraft fees where a transaction exceeded a pre-agreed facility; 3. we can find the detail of these charges on the statements they have sent us and this level of detail is required should we take it further; 4. if they don't hear from us in 8 weeks they'll consider it resolved. PLEASE HELP - how on earth do we establish what costs they are saying they'll consider, and which they won't, when the fees aren't broken down and we have no idea what was approved when in terms of o/d amount, etc?? And how do we deal with the fact that they seem to be assuming (or trying it on) that both accounts are business, when one was personal?? ANY advice gratefully received please - has anyone else come across this? Thanks
