  1. Hi all, i spoke to DG today to confirm they have received my breakdown of charges, the woman i spoke to confirmed they had received it but they have a backlog at the moment and it will be 2 to 3 weeks before they can deal with it, i told them it was no problem and my AQ was due to be in by 6th Feb so i'll wait and see what they do now. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/hsbc-bank/41717-fearns-hsbc.html#post365103

Hi all, heres an update, I received a letter today from HSBC dated 09 Jan 07 in responce to my letter dated 27 Nov 06 for charges of £731.00, usual letter offering me £657.90 as full and final payment representing charges upto and including 30 Nov 06. My MCOL was deemed as served on 25 Dec 06, and HSBC acknowledged on 28 Dec 06, Notice of acknowledgment says that they have 28 days from date of service to file a defence , does the 28 days start from the 25 Dec or 28 Dec when they acknowledged claim. My claim was £1010.22 inc interest plus £120 court fee when i filed it and is now £1064.48 including interest and charges that have been applied since then plus £120 court fee. I am not going to accept this but what should i put in my reply letter to HSBC with reference the additional fees and if it went to court would i be able to claim the additional fees since the claim was started or will i have to start a new claim thanks.

Just noticed aswell my 1st charge was on 1st December 2000 for £27.50, as we are getting close to this date will there be a problem with claiming this back after 1st December this year as it will be over 6 years.

Hello all, i have now worked out all my charges over the last 6 years but have 1 question before i send my prelim letter, on my statements i have for example, total charges to 10oct06 £125.00, interest to 10oct06 £1.59. In my spreadsheet do i put in the interest of £1.59 or not (can this be claimed back as i can see why they charged the interest as i was overdrawn and dont have a problem with paying this). If so a few years ago i had an overdraft limit and went over it and got charged how would i work out the interest on that, as i said i am not bothered about the interest and am quiet happy just to claim back the charges, also i am mincemeat with maths and percentages etc so please explain in simple terms any answers . And would it be acceptable to send the prelim with the below in it just for the charges and no interest if i cant claim it. What I require I calculate that you have taken £XXXXX in charges from my account. I enclose a schedule of the charges which I am claiming with this letter. Thanks.

Hello all, sent off my SAR this morning to HSBC for £666.00 hope its not a bad omen :o spoke to them on phone last night about reversing £125.00 they are charging me on 1st November, 1st person i spoke to put me through to some kind of manager or something, i told her very nicely that they were about to commit an unlawful act by taking this money from my account and said they would not reverse it but would give me an address to write to about it, told them it didnt matter as i was going to submit a SAR the following morning, woman was very polite asked me if i had any credit cards, told her i didnt as i do not use them and never have and she offered to sign me up for a new credit card with free balance transfer of my old one (which i told her i never had one ever) when i said i didnt need one she said it would come in really useful for getting me through christmas and the new year . They really dont have a clue do they i was laughing my head off lol.
  12. Hi, I am not really bothered by this but as I have nothing to do at the moment thought I would ask. I rent my house out to my brother in law who gets half his rent paid by the council as he only works a few hours a week, no problems at all with him or him paying his part of the rent but i recently changed address and a month before i did i sent council a letter informing them of my new address, this was in July this year, to cut a long story short they never sent me Augusts rent cheque until last week after 4 or 5 calls from myself since August, i received Septembers 2 weeks late and Octobers on time, it was down to their incompetence at processing my new address apparantly due to their "new computer system" which still doesnt allow them to pay me by direct debit. Anyway is there anything i can claim off them for late payment as at one point i did go overdrawn and incur charges (SAR sent yesterday to HSBC;)) like i said im not bothered but if there is i may aswell thanks.
