  1. Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply and amendments. Nope.. I did not get any tcikets on the windscreen when I returned to the car. Just a smile as the day was quite enjoyable!.
  2. Hi all, Looking for your advise. Took a short holiday to Cornwall last week and whilst there visited St Michael's Mount. Parked in the car park paid for my ticket but a few days after I received a PCN charge of £100.00 for parking on the line of the parking bay. When I arrived at St Michael's Mount it was wet and windy, the car park is gravel tracked and therefore I didn't actually notice there were parking bays marked. Want to know if I should ignore, appeal or reluctantly pay. (I accept I was parked on the white line!) Any advise appreciated. 3. Morning All! Thank you for your replies. The contract says to refer to the handbook regarding redundancies... A handbook which can and has changed over time, with no notice. Seems like there is nothing I can do if we were to be made redundant. Just all seems a little dishonest.
  4. Hi Emmzzi, No Union here to rely on. Just the dictatorship from the CFO!
  5. Good day everyone! I would like some advice regarding changes with the redundancy payment as shown in the Staff Handbook. In the past, our Staff Handbook showed that in the case of redundancies, payment will be calculated on a months salary for each year of service. (Which I have retained a copy of) In the last few weeks, I have reviewed the staff handbook again and it now reads that redundancy payment will be calculated on the statuary minimum, being a weeks pay for every year of service. This has come to a surprise to me and a lot of the other staff I work with. We are all wondering if this change is legal and fair, as it was implemented without our acknowledgment. Brexit is not too far away and we all believe it will have a fundamental effect on the business we work in and therefore we believe redundancies are inevitable. Can someone please advise if we have a leg to stand on or do we just accept that we have to put up and shut up. All comments welcomed! Thanks for reading Mark
  6. Hi, Nope no other notification or information just what is attached.
  7. Good evening, Sorry for not getting back sooner. I could only scan in the letters once back at work. Please see attached. Attached is the only correspondence I have received relating to the parking charge. Please let me know if I have completed the "ANPR camera capture, Notice to Keeper" correctly. Thanks 2017-03-29 DR+ Chase letter.pdf PCN.pdf
  8. Thanks for all the comments. Surprising the information you find when you search the right things.. (not sure why I would associate a charge with a fine!) You receive letters like these and you feel your obligated to pay, not knowing any better. (Not reading enough on CAG!) For tickets received through the post [ANPR camera capture] (Notice to Keeper) please answer the following questions. 1 Date of the infringement: 18 February 2017 2 Date on the NTK: 23 February 2017 [this must have been received within 14 days from the 'offence' date] 3 Date received: Not sure as I didn't keep the envelope and forgot about it as soon as I saw it.. 9. Good evening guys.. Hope you are all in good health. I was posted a parking charge by Smart Parking for overstaying the free parking time in North London. I accept this may have been possible, but I put the letter to one side and forgot all about it. I have now received a letter from debt recovery plus reminding me of the outstanding parking charge but is now double the cost I am willing to pay the charge but I don't think its right I am expected to now pay double the charge. I have tried to pay on line and by phone, but Smart Parking will now not take my payment. Any advise or do I just pay them whatever they decide to demand?
  10. Hi can someone please give me some advise? Late 2010 I got a car on HP and was paying the finance for a year. I had an accident in the car, only had 3 rd party insurance, and felt very aggrieved to continue paying for a car which I have no use. I am a shamed to say it but I have been dodging all the calls I have been receiving from Santandear. I feel a bit guilty about this as its no one fault but my own, and I have saved up a large lump some of the outstanding and was considering making them an offer. Do you think this is a good idea?
  11. Thanks for your advise, will start the process in the morning!
  12. Good Day all, I am thinking about starting a PPI claim for insurance sold to me on an Abbey National Loan. I am a bit lost and not sure what to do, was thinking about calling the number I have seen on TV to get the claim sorted. Please let me know if its worth it as the fees may be more than the claim! Or if you recommend anyone or do you think its easy enough for me to do it alone considering the lack of knowledge regarding the claim. By the way, the reason why I am claiming is that I was sold 3 year PPI on a 5 year loan. (5 year PPI was not offered) Let me have your thoughts PLEASE!!!
  13. I would like to say, thanks you for all your replies! Its been interested reading, and I suppose I was being a little paranoid!! I will do the course and hope that its as much fun as some of you have made it out to be!! Thanks again for your feed back. Mark
  14. Hi all, Need some advise and views of what I should do. About two weeks ago I received a speeding ticket via post for doing 37mph on an 30mph dual carriage way. In the letter it stated I have two options. 1. to except the fine and get 3 points or 2. Pay the fine and also Pay and attend a speed awareness course. To me the second option sounds great as I won't receive the 3 endorsment points (although I will be out of pocket!). But if I accept to do the Speed Awareness Course it states the "Your details will not be released to any other parties except any other police forces if they are considering making an offer of a course in the future" Don't want to go on for too long, but does anyone think that if I completed the course I will be more targeted by police for speeding as there is a record saying I have completed a speed awareness course. If I accepted the three points, I just feel I may not be such a target for doing 35 in an 30 zone! Sorry for sounding paraniod! Let me know what you all think. Thanks for reading. Mark
