  1. All, I decided to take HBOS up on there offer of abandoning the claim in return for no claim against myself. As I understand it this does not preclude me from claiming again when we have a better handle on the situation. UB.
  2. Well I got a letter on through from DLA saying they will not pursue me for fees if I abandon my claim against Halifax. Like others they attached a photo copy of the recommendation from this forum that no futher ERC claims are started. As I have not yet had the "case management conference" I don't know for sure that I am going down the small claims route, as I understand it that should be agreed at the case management conference ? What do you reckon guys ?
  3. Thanks guys, what did you propose was a reasonable settlement? Was it 50% claim + costs ? What is the best way of "wording this" ? Thanks again. UB
  4. I recieved a letter from DLA Piper today advising they have taken over as solicitors in this claim. No further updates to report.
  5. Great news Biffa! I got a letter today as well... unfortunatley just advising a change of solicitor to DLA Piper. Still on for a "Case Management Conference" on the 8th of March - perhaps I should offer to settle?
  6. As I understand it it's a preparatory "meeting" almost to discuss how to proceed with the hearing ???
  7. Hey Biffa, what did you all include? Sorry I've been offline for a few weeks - have just had cruciate ligament reconstruction (ouch!).
  8. Gary / Rusty... I have proceeded with the claim and sent the rejection letter (accepting the £750 credited as part settlement).
  9. Sorrry about the lack of updates people, I have just had a knee operation (getting back to full fitness now!) I recieved the defence, and filed the Allocation Questionnaire. I have now got a date for my "case management conference" which is for the mid march. Should I hear any more before this "case management conference" ?
  10. I got a date for my "case management conference" through 21/03/07 ... 15 Minutes have been allowed.
  11. If it's DLA piper then I think zootscoot has come across them before and they have a history of playing it to the wire followed by a cheque.
  12. Hi, I put a claim into Lloyds for £1250 - filed the court paper work etc. Today they sent me an offer of £750 in full and final settlement, which they claim will be credited to my account in the next few days. Has anybody else had this? How do I proceed, obviously I want the full £1250 ;-)
