  1. Thanks Bookworm-I get over enthusiastic on here it seems!
  2. So I can dictate the terms of which method of payment also then dar3n??
  3. Hi all-need urgent help here please. After deciding to call Barclays today-I received an offer in today's post for £2725. They state in the letter that if accepted it will be paid into my account. I want it paying by cheque direct to me. However, due to business closing down, there remains an overdraft on the account and they have issued a Termination Notice in January. Can they pay into a Terminated account?? I also have other creditors to pay off and do not think it would be fair to or seen in a good light if I favour Barclays-I want to spread it equally around my other creditors(who would have been paid if Barclays hadn't crippled me) I feel very strongly about this point.Should I quote the Right of Appropriation here?Is that relevant? I intend to call them to discuss the matter but need advice that this can be done before I do so. Also.. But my claim was for £2605 Court Costs = £225 Fees since date submitted to MCOL = £180 Total =£3010 Their offer falls short of this.Do I negotiate for the full amount and any pointers for wording here-I want to come across as mega determined and my arguments confident. Many many thanks!! I welcome PM or can go on the chat room for the next hour if anyone can come on and guide me-I want to make the call before I start work today.
  4. Hi I am a sole trader claiming back from Barclays. I have claimed for Paid Referral Fee's which are £35 and should be totalled up on your quarterly Schedule of Charges they send you. This shows the breakdown of interest and commision, which you can't claim back. Also claim for the fee's for unpaid d.d's etc coming out of your account-these are usually £30 a pop and are in addition to the Paid Referral fees if you have gone over your OD limit on a business account.
  5. Just had a look at's Dar3n's contacts too-thanks
  6. As there have been more charges you see since Sept 06-If so what is the easiest way to calculate these to make them up to date-apply them to the calculating spreadsheet I used before from Vampiress?
  7. Sorry about this..and to sound thick.. .. the charges submitted to Court were from Sept 04 to Sept 06 including interest as per details on MCOL So now do I calculate the new amount right up to tomorrow's date inc interest and costs before I call?
  8. Ok thanks very much guys-will give it a try and call tomorrow-got the number off Welshman's thread. Can I ask-do you quote the amount of interest as calculated on the Spreadsheet as submitted to the Court? Or do you have to calculate it to the date you call? Am confooosed! Thanksa
  9. Anyone had any luck with contacting them before a Court date? Or have they contacted you and settled at the last minute Any info welcomed here or links to helpful threads would be appreciated-got Court on 24th and am getting nervous! Thanks!
  10. I know where you are coming from...I think of all the extra money they are wasting on defending claims at Court-they should just back down before this stage and cough up. Your call-have a think and decide what is best for you. Good luck
  11. Court date now set for 24th April 2007,bundle sent-will keep you posted
  12. Hi mum of 3 I have already filed and have court date of 24th April.
  13. Hi I had a Termination notice from Barclays about my Business Account(have a Court Date for reclaiming charges now),Personal Account and Business loan and that unless the full amount was paid in full, interest would be applied etc.I replied accordingly-and told the Business one that it was currently in dispute. Now,I have had another letter for my Personal account and Business Account saying that more charges have been applied. All dd's have been cancelled by me-and the ones they claim have been tried to be taken out as a dd by a company-no record at all of them anymore with these people(swapped all to new bank account ages ago) I was of the understanding that effectively the accounts were now closed when I got Termination notice-so how can I still be getting charges on them?? PLUS- when it goes to Court and get refunded-will I be able to request a cheque so it is not just put back into my Barclays accounts?I have several business related debts and would prefer to pay off some, on an equal basis. As I feel Barclays put me in this situation-will they get the upper hand and get the lion's share after all this work to reclaim them?? I have to tread carefully as I have to treat all creditors equally and it may look like I am favouring them? But not through choice I might add... Any ideas what to do please?? Thanks-
  14. Hi Anyone else got this date at Salford County Court? Be interesting to find others who are.
