bump. anyone have any advice to add, or should I throw in the towel?
-
I dont understand what you mean at all. Is there anyone here who has (or knows of someone) actually made a successful claim while being in a IVA? Thanks
-
I dont understand what you mean really. I had two bank accounts, a personal loan and a hsbc credit card total. I owed around £7000 (inc. of the loan) which I am paying back through the IVA. The total amount I am paying back to all creditors in the IVA is around £17000. I was claiming back £1200 in unfair charges incurred mostly on my current account (about £50 on my hsbc credit card). So is it advisable to still proceed with my claim?

just received this from the swines: so... what now? they didnt make me a part offer just outright refused. Also there was no money 'charged off' I am paying that back through my IVA. In a nutshell IS it advisable for me to proceed with my claim? thanks

Me too. None of the links work. can someone email me a copy if they have a completed version saved? (england, excel simple) Thanks

I read something about overdraft interest in the FAQs, but its too confusing and i cant be bothered. I'll fill in the spreadsheet and get the initial letter sent off
-
Thanks Kelley. Do I not need to include any interest? I thought there was one type of interest I needed to include with the initial request??!!!???
-
Well, I now have all the statements - they turned up out of the blue VERY late. I am sending off the initial request tomorrow - they owe me £1350! I am slightly concerned as i am in an IVA with HSBC as one of my ex-creditors, i hope they dont try to make me go bankrupt! Do I need to send copies of all the statements with the charges highlighted with this initial request? Thanks

i've recently received a letter from a company called Stop The Worry claiming that the majority of IVA's are not suitable and that 'you could be from your IVA in as little 4 months' Was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with this company, or knew anything about it? Thanks
-
My IVA (which i wish i never did in the first place) has failed because i cant keep up the monthly payments. I dont really know what to do, will I have to go bankrupt? or is there another solution? Also what are the implications of bankruptcy, i dont own a house and i have no assets. I am working at the moment but only on a temporary contract, i am hoping to start my career this year. Advice appreciated

I was going to call them to see if the other statements possiblly got lost in the post - dont you think its a good idea? Surely they are still in breach of the Freedom of Information Act, as they agreed to send the statements without charge? regardless, i will send another letter and PO, special delivery setting out what you said above. beware anyone else they return the fee to....
-
Thanks Jon, Yes I should of took your original advice, I didnt think they would be that devious. It goes completely against the spirit of the freedom of information act - disgraceful behaviour from HSBC to be honest. I am now determined to make another request and I will be calling Ian Shepherd who signed the letter to ask him to explain these actions. Julian

any advice on how I should proceed in regards to the above? thanks
