I am just claiming the total charges without interst at this stage.

First letter sent 5th April requesting £1320 + £63.73 interest since 2002. Halifax phoned on Good Friday offering £307 as a good will gesture with letter arriving 16th confirming this offer with the usual jargon...... Tried to phone back to turn this down but telephone constantly engaged (!!) so have replied today by letter asking for full settlement using their Business Reply letter!

I have just ring the Halifax online number and asked for all statements +charges since 2002 and was told these would be posted to us on Monday at no charge!!! I told them that they were required for a child maintenance case.
