  1. thanks for that will look into that and get back to you x
  2. Hi I was wondering if anyone else has had issues with their PC insurance bought from PCW. I took out the protection package (paying monthly for a year) to protect my PC. I had to ring them several times within the first few months and ended up ringing a £1 per min hotline of which no-one told me was for customers who had not bought insurance until the call was nearly over!! then when i rang the correct number they just kept telling me there was nothing wrong with the PC and should re-boot it blah blah blah. Eventually I got a friend to fix it. Then last year (my insurance did not run out til Jan this year) my monitor broke and when I rang up to get it fixed they told me my monitor was not covered as I was a discontinued package I had bought and the monitor was a different brand to the PC so was not covered. I have wrote several letters to PCW but to no avail - can anyone help as I feel I have been conned somewhere along the line???
  3. I have now had all my charges with 5% interest and court costs returned of Nationwide, just waiting on statements from Capital One, they are very reluctant to send these out to me - I cant understand why???
  4. thanks kelly, am already spending on DIY stuff to decorate my house which just bought off council - it great to be able to afford to make your mark, not finished yet gotta wait for rest and to start on capital one next so watch this space. x
  5. aw that would be nice wedding gift to have and i would not like to build your hopes up but i would imagine that is plenty of time to get your money back. i had to take into account the bank holidays when calculating my payback day so i imagine yours will be the same. if i had to guess when you would get yours based on my situation i would say you will get it about 1st may. i would start checking your account as of next monday!! dont be put off if you hear they making defence it just formality to bide themselves more times as i have been advised by MCOL LOL.......keep us informed and think about all those lovely windows full of lovely stuff for you to buy when you go away, it will keep you going and you will explode like i did when it finally comes through.:o
  6. hi hound, it was deemed served on 23rd march, the NW put in defence on 19th march though which was issued on fri last week then voila this afternoon i check my account and there it is, although there is about £300 + court costs missing so dont know when i will get them (if i get them). hold tight as i have done, i have been up and down with emotions for weeks worrying whether i will end up in court having to justify why i want my money back. keep coming on here as everyone very helpful and lovely.
  7. HI ALL, IM SHOUTING COS IM VERY HAPPY WHEN I JUST LOOKED IN MY BANK I SAW I HAD BEEN PAID IN CORRECTIONS £2000 YIPEE FINALLY although i am still waiting on my interest and court fee returned LOL. good luck everyone else and thanks to all those who helped me get this back, i will still be on here until i get my capital one money back (only about £300 but still mine eh?) THANK YOU! x:D:p:eek:
  8. thanks for the tip and support chuck, i only put it on there in jest hence the (....) but it is ridiculous:D that they are still getting away with it, capital one are the only ones i am aware of who have lowered their fees which is great.
  9. thanks for support lori and melon i am crossing my fingers they just pay up soon as they have for others (unlikely though i think i was born a lemming and bad luck draws itself to me). i will keep posting until sorted, waiting for statements of capital one too and just opened new account with natwest (although not sure why as there charges are an astonishing £38 for a returned DD - robbing pigs!). thanks for the tip melon i will get searching x

  12. hi michael just wondered if you know any info on the court process? my claim had one day left on in and they filed defence to go to court, do you know what happens next or did you just get paid out? cheers
  13. cheers pitters. very annoyed today as bank only had til monday to pay up and now they are defending it this morning? has anyone else been in this position and actually been to court and won - they are really getting on my nerves now not sure if they are just playing for more time:mad:
  14. hi just wondered those of you who have had money returned what time of day did you get your money back? my claim was acknowledged on 23rd may so do i wait 28 days before pressing the default button or do i wait until 23rd april.
  15. those of you who have had your money back i was wondering what time of day your interest was returned to you?
  16. i still have nothing in my account as of today, if i get nothing tomorrow am going to ring mr bacon to chase it up as they only have until 19th april to pay out, not even had letter or anything tut tut.

  19. aw well done pitters sorry to hear about your son hope he is ok. i still havent heard anything from my bank as yet but not sure think i have to wait until may for mine but they may drag their feet again. has anyone else had their money back?
  20. ah right well i got that on the 7th april so am i due on or around 7th may then? or do you think they will take me to court, im nervous about that as there have been a few of those recently.
  21. hi pitters thanks for the advice, i have sent off my charge list and interest today recorded delivery to Mr Bacon (due to the silly holidays only just got chance) and my claim was issued on 19th march but not acknowledged until the 23rd so does this mean I will have to wait until the 23rd?? I bet they behind too with it being bank holiday?
  22. i have had that from mr bacon so should i send schedule of charges? is that the calculator spreadsheet one? thanks
  23. Thanks Spiff feel a bit more reassured, hopefully it is just the Nationwide doing this as I still have to claim off Capital One Card yet and do my friends bank for her she is in the Natwest. This has been going on with my bank a while now and I think they are very slow in comparison. I will keep posting as I hear. Thanks again.
  24. Hi all, just read through a few of the posts for this week still unsure what is happening. i sent my MCOL request off last monday and today i have received a letter from the court stating Mr Bacon (again) is dealing with it on the acknowledgement of service letter and he has ticked that he intends to defend the claim. can anyone translate that into english for me? does this mean 1. they are not going to pay out? 2. they are just asking for a bit more time? or 3. they will pay me after 28 days? Lisa (unsatisfied Nationwide customer)
  25. what type of account was it you claimed against and did you just send off the bank letters off this site to claim money back?? im just applying for my statements at the moment.
