  1. I am posting threads everywhere- feel like some sort of mad woman! I started all this in October 2006 because I have been screwed over by Barclays more times than I care to mention, plus a colleague at work had been successfull, so I thought why not! Little did I realise at the time what a big commitment the whole thing is and how retarded legally minded people like myself would be in for a shocker! I am currently putting off completing the allocation question after receiving the court papers from solicitor Adrian St.John who intends to defend the case fully! The defence is pretty much exactly the same as many others I've read and states that I did not submit a schedule of charges (strict proof ?), which I did, about 4 times. I have made a plea for someone to let me have a peek at their court bundle as I'm a little unsure of how to compile this! I was also unaware that there may be a allocation hearing first, I thought the whole idea of a allocation questionnaire was to decide which track to take? I have also taken note of the idea to ring the legal dept. 4 weeks prior to the court date which I will bear in mind. The OFT statement summary is missing on the basic court bundle, the link to it is showing as 'moved' on the OFT site and I'm unsure what it is I'm looking for! Anyway, any help/advice would be really greatly appreciated as I feel a little out of my depth right now. Cheers Nikki x x x x
  2. Hi, I am new to all this re-claiming bank charges and things seemed to have moved rather fast. I have already found myself about to complete an allocation questionnaire and am attempting to prepare to construct a court bundle. How on earth anyone manages to get 250 pages I don't know. I'm also concerned that the relevant cases section appears to be quite dated, am I supposed to change these/update them? Basically is there anyone that would be willing to show me their court bundle so I could learn from it? Nikki
  3. I have just received an allocation questionnaire from Barclays bank (which I need to complete before next week). They too are apparently sending Adrian St.John to represent them. I have downloaded the 'basic court bundle' to read and a bit of info on how to complete the questionnaire. Is there anyone that has actually attended court against Barclays? Been trying to look but no luck. Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
  4. I have just discovered that Barclays bank have put in a defence and am currently awaiting a court date. Not only do I find this website mentally challenging but I have no idea what to do at court, how to defend myself and am now questioning whether I should just cancel the whole thing. I can't help but consider that if these bank charges are unlawful, why are Barclays willing to spend further money going to court? I have regsitered for a court buddy and will download the court bundle to read but to be honest the whole thing may as well be written in chinese! I understand that I have to prove that the probability is over 50% that they have unlawfully charged me in order to win. Has anyone been to court against Barclays and if so would you be so kind as to help me???? Nikki x
