Yup, computer said 'No' to me as well ... and I still haven't been credit checked ... I'm wondering if I didn't pass the intital criteria as I've only been in my new job for a month (although this wasn't an issue for Halifax)

Hi Pebs, I've checked my Experian file this morning and there isn't a credit search on there from Home Retail Credit. Maybe there was a problem with my application and they have to do it manually... Halifax also used Experian. I was gobsmacked when I was approved online as due to a lack of credit history, it never usually happens

Not sure if you're interested but Halifax have a new Classic card out which is for those building up a credit history (and less APR then Capital 1 .. but only just). I filled out the short application online and was immediately accepted and a credit limit given. The agreement arrived 2 days later ... Halifax - Classic Card

Strange ... I've checked my Experian & Equifax credit files online and there is no sign of a credit search as yet ... and as per my post above, they said I would hear in a couple of days ...

Hi Peeps Joined the forum today and in next few days will be sending my 1st letter to the NATWEST to ask for list of charges for last 6 years!! Just one question (at the moment) - As my account with NW is now closed, do I send this letter to my old branch or the main NW address in London? Many Thanks, Vicki

Hi Everyone This is my first time on the forum today and have found it really informative. I'm a ex-Natwest customer and will be trying to claim over £2000 back from them in charges!!! Have prepared my 1st letter asking for a full list of charges .. will send that off in next few days.... Love to hear from peeps who have had dealings with NW Cheers, Vicki
