  1. A present given to me at Christmas came with a gift reciept, ie no price was entered allowing the gift to be returned but without me knowing the vulgarities of how much was spent on me. I subsequently did return the gift as it was to small but as the right size was not in stock, I asked for a refund. Debenhams policy is only to refund the price of any item as priced on the day of return and as sales are now in force the items value was now halved and thats what I was offered. My mother purchases a gift in good faith on the understanding that it can be exchanged or refunded at a later date if found to be unsuitable but Debenhams will pocket the difference if the item then appears in the sale, how dishonest?
