  1. All, thanks for all the responses and sorry i had not been in touch sooner. Since i posted this, o2 have constantly overcharged me on insurance (in some cases 5 different amounts), and have even charged me for an insurance policy they assured me no longer exists. This has been going on since the contract was renewed for a another 12 months in April 07. I've only a few months left, but still want to know if there is any chance of me cancelling a couple of months early... Thanks again for your time peeps
  2. On the upgrade i changed from my Insure Gold Monthly payment of £4.99 to the Standard Monthly payment of £6.00. I changed because the Gold insurance was no longer available so had to move to one that was.
  3. Hi, Thanks for reading the thread. I upgraded my account on 4th April 2007, and since then o2 have been constantly over billing me on insurance. In october i rang them to complain and they went through the bills with me and agreed that i was owed money. My recent bill shows this refund, however they have now charged me for yet more insurance. Below i have added a break down so that you can see the exact problem i have. April (First month of new contract) Over billed - £9.05 May Over billed - £4.99 June Over billed - £4.99 July Over billed - £4.99 August Over billed - £4.99 Septemeber Incorrect Cease Refund - £24.00 (Does anyone know what this is?) Over billed - £17.91 Ocotber Over billed - £15.98 November Goodwill Promotions Refund - £46.84 Over billed - £27.79 If my calculations are correct they still owe me around £20, but i've had enough. I really want out of this contract with o2 as they are clearly incompotant morons, but can this be classed as a breach of contract? I am visiting the Citizens Advice Bureau today as well, but every little bit of advice helps. Thanks for your time.
  4. its a 12 month contract and has been running about 5 months (Since April)
  5. Hi and thanks for reading. I'm trying to cancel my contract with o2, but they want to charge me for coming out of the contract early. I've been told i can get out of these charges. Can someone point me in the direction of the inforation i need to follow this up or at least tell me if its true?! I've tried surfing the web for some legal info but to no avail. I'm still in the dark. Thanks for your time.
  6. Although late to the conversation, there is another route which proved succesful for me. I sent a letter claiming ALL the charges to my account, whether i agreed to them or not. Natwest worked all this out for me and sent me a final figure, saving me alot of time doing it myself. Have think about it, you never know, you may even get the whole lot back if your lucky! Good luck.
  7. A little successful claim story for you to help push you that little further if you need it. I have just claimed approx £2500 from natwest bank. Even though they tried to claim that the charges were fair. My advice, don't panic if you have to send a strong letter explaining that you will take them to court. This just proves that the charges aren't fair and that you can win your case with a little perserverance. Contact me if you have any questions about claiming. I'm now an expert (almost). If i have any answers i'll share them with you
