  1. At the end of the day if the banks want our business, would they rather continue with free banking or let us bank with their rivals? It will come to a point where all banks will start charging a monthly fee to run your account if the OFT wins the test case. However as people with credit cards are always looking for the best deal, so will current account customers too if they are forced to pay for their services. Then the banks will enter a price war so they can attract customers looking for a better deal and eventually it will come to a point where they will have to introduce free banking again to recoup their lost customers. Make sense? Is going to be one big vicious circle lol.
  2. MCOL filed today for £180 in charges and £15.75 interest, Total £195.75.
  3. Am just gonna add my 2 pence in here. If you are going to file a court claim then it would be wise NOT to put without prejudice, otherwise any letters you have sent can NOT be used in court.
  4. Ok I have recieved my cheque today after more than 2 weeks of waiting. Can a Mod change this to won please. Donation on its way when the cheque has cleared.

  6. Recieved my statements today. And there is a lot of them. Will let you all know the total when I have added it all up.
  7. I sent in a telephone harrasment letter ( in the library ) with lloydstsb and they left me alone after that, try sending one. I just unplug my phone now and refuse to answer any calls from them.

  9. Letter before action sent today for £180.00 in charges and £15.49 interest, total £195.49. John Lewis Customer Services are a bit of a pushover (I used to work there for 5 years) so this should be a breeze. If not I will complain like hell and get some compensation as well. Will keep you all updated
  10. Offer recieved for £1139 on 26/01/2007 which is about 90% of my claim. I have decided to accept this as I am in a pickle at the moment and really need the money. Donation will be on the way once I have recieved the cheque and cleared it.
  11. Allocation Questionaire filed today at my local court (Southampton) and £100 paid seen as my claim is for more than £1500. Also asked the lady if they had many of these claims at the moment and she said there was a few. Will keep you all upto date.
  12. Sent off LBA today giving them another 14 days to refund me. If not then its time to MCOL again.
  13. Letter received from HSBC on the 03/01/2007 dated 29/12/2006 in response to my Preliminary Request saying we will look into it within the next 10 years or so. LOL
