  2. Hi Ladybird - I am seriously considering taking the Halifax to court - in terms of reasonable behaviour I think they are beyond the pale. I have been in communication with them for nearly a year and have got nowhere. But as far as your problem is concerned - have you tried Citizen's Advice?
  3. As if I would! No I find that my typing doesn't always keep up with what I think I am writing, hence the surreal results. I am actually still hopeful that Abbey will respond positively but the results of others does not seem very positive. However I will continue to pursue this as the account is only in the red because of their charges. And that ain't fair. It's like Robin Hood stealing from the poor to give to the rich.

  5. So! O.K. My typing gets a bit haywire sometimes!

  7. Abbey have charged me over £150.00 for telling me that there were not enough funds in my account for the mortgage payment. They did not accept the mortgage payment - hence I did not go overdrawn but they charged me £35.00 + interest for not paying and telling me. The initial letter has just been sent and I await to see what their response will be. Not helpful be the postings here.
