i sent the letter asking for my charge and transaction history to halifax and got a response thru my door this morning which says that they are sending me copies of my statements but cant tell me about any manual intervention because they are under "no statutory obligation to record this information"... asking dumbass question but when my statements show up i go thru them all and count up all my charges i've had and thats the total i ask for back? how do i work out the interest on it too?

have sent the data protection letter to halifax sent on 01/09/06..... also i have an account with natwest that deals with my loan. i S/O the money across to cover the payment and they take it from there... can i reclaim charges from natwest too? for late payments and such? :?

i have my stuff set up so my wages go into halifax and they transfer the right amount over to natwest in plenty of time for loan payment.. but when they decide to 'bounce' the SO, there not enought to cover loan so that 'bounces' too and then i get charged for missed payment

hello my names Chris and i finally, after a month of deliberation, decided to start the process of reclaiming my charges from halifax (i won't put what i have rechristened them coz this is a nice polite site ) i got my bank statement for the previous month and found 7 (SEVEN) charges in the last 30 days!!!! something that does annoy me is that they can 'bounce' my direct debits coz i not allowed to go into minus money but their charges have put me 120 quid in the minus and thats ok?!?!?!? if thats ok why cant they just pay the debit? i have been reading thru this site to work out what i gotta do to get started and when i do get it all figured out i'll get the process underway
