Today is the day, the 2 weeks are up on the 2nd letter i sent and still no letter back from the bank. Could some one please help me on what to do about the court claim. How do i work out the 8% and is the 8% on the whole lot they owe me or do i work it out for each seperate charge and then total it. Also where do i send the claims etc Please help

Hi everyone i was just wondering if anyone claiming charges back from HSBC has got their money back before taking it to court. I sent my 2nd letter a week ago tomorrow and still have nothing back from them and im starting to get worried i dont really want to go through all the stress of court as my partner has just started working and i have 3 young children so i will be doing this myself from now on. If anyone has any good news can you please let me know.

i have just sent my letter before action to hsbc as they did not reply to the last one, and they have also added another charge of £125 to come out on the 13th of this month can any one advise me on what to do about this

So do i just ask for the charges back then? and not bother with the interest

Can anyone help me im getting a bit confused, i have just received my statements and worked out that they owe me £879 in charges but the on the letter i need to send its telling me to put in the interest as well. What interest is this and how do i work it out? Someone please help as this money would be very handy for christmas.

Hi everyone, thought id jump on the band wagon too, since i have been charged silly amounts in the past 5 years. But! i have a problem quote from data protection letter thread: Send this request including the £10 fee to the address which your bank has registered with the Data Protection Commissioner as the address of the Data Controller:- end of quote. the problem is that i cannot find my branches data controller. i have searched online on the banks website and the a lot of other places and i cant seem to find "HSBC - Morrisons tynemouth". It isnt even on the banks webpage! (has HSBC forgotten about this branch!) On the bottom of my statement i do have an address for coventry. but as i am in Newcastle i didnt think this is the right address. Please help, i want payback on my extremely GREEDY bank.
