  1. I presume I can send this letter to Sky who charge £4 for not paying by DD?
  2. I got my list of charges back today but they only go back to 1st Sept 2001. Their letter states: "You may now wish to proceed with your claim for reimbursement of charges but, if you do feel you need further statements, this will take longer to access our archived data. Please let me know by returning this letter in the attached pre-paid envelope and i will order them for you. Under the terms of the Data Protection Act we are allowed up to 40 days to fulfill your request." I gave them 40 days to reply in my original request for 6 YEARS of charges, not 5 years and 7 months worth and they now say they are entitled to another 40 days if i want the 5 months they haven't sent me. Is this legal and has anyone else had this happen?
  3. Thanks again for the prompt replies.
  4. I think that address was the return address on the envelope that my bank statement arrived in.
  5. Thanks for that. I will write to them again.
  6. Cant remember where I got it from now. Like I said not a good start but I have been sat here reading this site for about 2 hours now so I should be okay in the future.
  7. I may have got off to a bad start. I sent my letter asking for my list of charges to a Lloyds TSB address in Peterborough. I now realise that this was the wrong address. Also i do not have a cheque book. This raises a few questions: 1. Will my request be forwarded to the correct department? 2. How long could this take? 3. Do they still have to reply within the 40 days stated in the Data Protection Act? 4. As i dont have a cheque book I sent a crossed postal order made payable to Lloyds TSB. Is this sufficient for payment and how will I know if they have cashed it? 5. Why didnt I read this website more thoroughly before I started?
