  2. Update time. I received a letter (with statements) asking for the £10 fee with a direct telephone number to contact the person dealing with my correspondence in the retail regulatory risk department. They wanted a cheque from me but as the bank had removed this facility I could not send them one, and the lady, who was very nice, did not have any suggestions. I had already paid £10 into the account to cover the charges, but this had been eroded by further charges, for what I'm unsure!! I eventually sent them a postal order on the 3 April and am awaiting the full subject access request, hopefully before the 40 day deadline, but I'm not sure this deadline should apply to my letter of 14 March or 3 April. I'm not sure if its proper to post the personal contact details of the NatWest person publiclly on this thread, so if someone could advise me then I can do the proper thing. I suppose if anyone wants the details then they can always use the envelope? Further updates to follow.

I'll keep you all informed of any progress.
