  1. Hi ZENTRIX9 Welcome to The Consumer Action Group. I am just letting you know that as you haven't had any replies to your post yet, it might be better if you post your message again in an appropriate sub-forum. You will get lots of help there. Also take some time to read around the forum and get used to the layout. It is a big forum and takes a lot of getting used to. Once you start to find your way, you will soon realise that it is fairly easy to get round and to get the help you need. It can be bit confusing at first.

  16. Good luck Pamplemoose (Grapefruit right). Iv'e just registered here after my friend at work just won £800 back from Halifax. I think HSBC owe me around £3000 (yep 3k). And MBNA about £700 and a couple of others a few hundred. Iv'e changed to a basic Natwest account now and haven't contacted HSBC or HSBC VISA for about 7 months and i owe them jointly about £21k. Stuff them both!!!!! I'm gonna get the charges to pay off part of the whole debt and pay em back a few quid a month via a place called Payplan. my credit rating must be screwed now buy hey, so what. i don't want any credit anyway and even if I did again there's means and ways anyway these days with non status credit. I'm seriously better off dumping my banks and cc companies and by negotiating a payment via a third party. Depends on everyone's situation of course but with such huge debts its gotta be a good thing. PS I personally reacon you'll have to apply twice with HSBC as they always seem to act seperately. ie my bank account with them seems to be less bothered about my non-payments as the VISA part who are getting a tad cross with me. I'm gonna start the DPA bit any day as I just had a letter today with a charge for the letter of £100 (bargain). Must be a record for a letter?? Not HSBC though so don't panic!
