i have begun the process of claiming back charges from the halifax; initial response has been standard letter, goodwil offer of refunding one charge. i am currently waiting for my statements, branch manager assures me i will have them in ten days! i believe then i will threaten or lodge court proceedings once i know actual figure. this site has been really useful, i always thought the charges were legal!
