Thanks guys - am sending the request for statements tomorrow

What an informative website this is - Ive been reading up for the past few days & have stumbled across loads of information I bank with the Halifax (big mistake) and am o/d by around £600 - If I start asking for stements etc. what do you think they will do with this - I cant afford to have them try and collect this all in one foul swoop. Also, to add insult to injury - I used a couple of credit card cheques just to tide me over in the meantime. Whilst these were in the process of clearing I rang and requested a replacement card. The pillocks closed my visa account and of course the cheques were not honoured (Beneficial Finance cancelled their charges without any further ado as I made an arr to settle their arrears at the weekend!) I am raring to go with this but dont want to dig myself a bigger hole with my overdraft. Any advice would be appreciated.
