  2. Hi LouisI have a court date set for 20 June 2007 so am also proceeding down this route. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to view the court bundle zip file, it is defaulting to Word but bringing it up in illegible code. Could you perhaps forward a copy to me?kjreils@aol.comGood Luck and just remember, judges and bankers and lawyers are all human - just like the rest of us.
  3. Well, we have completed the niceties with Abbey but they have still filed a defence and court date is now scheduled for 20/6/07. I am hoping that the time and effort expended in printing and distributing the bundle can be reclaimed should they, as per usual, decide not to show up? Any comments?
  4. Hi All Well I have begun my case against Abbey Business Banking who owe me GBP1600.00 in bank charges. I have also started a simultaneous action against The Abbey for a further GBP3500. I do have a small problem however. I was in the process of submitting a summons via the online service but I need to provide an address in England or Wales. As Abbey Business Banking is based in Glasgow will I need to proceed according to Scottish Law or can I have it served on their office here in the UK?? Any ideas Regard
  5. I am pursuing Abbey Business Banking for these illegal charges over the past 3 years. Their 14 days has just ended and so I began filing the case over the net. The only problem is that when they request the defendants address they state it must be in England or Wales. As Abbey business banking is based in Scotland this poses a problem. Does anybody have an idea about how to proceed
  6. Hi Guys, nice to see someone else taking on the Abbey. My process will begin in the next week. Had to reorganise my mortgage, overdraft, parachute account etc. I am looking forward to this. I had 2 of my customer's cheques bounce, phoned Abbey to provide bridging finance while I get the matter sorted - a request they denied. Then they started bouncing direct debits and 400 quid later I realise why they denied the finance. The sad thing is that this gets into an uncontrollable spiral as making up the 400 quid lost through charges by a business in its infancy is nigh on impossible. Man I'm going to enjoy this fight.
  7. Hi Nice to have a forum in which to discuss something as serious as illegal bank charges. I too ignored these charges but have since discovered that ignoring them has cost me nearly GBP4000.00 over the past 3 years. Time to right the wrong methinks!!!
