vergo retail extended warranty
wiggins replied to wiggins's topic in Insurance/Assurance Companies (Not Car Insurance)
thats exactly what they are saying. pacifica claim that havent received any premium from vergo, thus no policy was supplied. However, i recalll somewhere that selling items without providing them is somehow fraud but can anyone enlighten me further as to wether im correct in saying this? -
bought a new tv from vergo retail earlier this year and paid an extra £100 for 5 years extended warranty. Vergo have since gone into administration and i never received any paperwork from them regarding my policy. I managed to find out that a company called pacifica deal with the policies so i phoned them yesterday morning and they say that there is no policy in my name as vergo never took it out with them, but charged me for it. Thing is , as vergo dont exist anymore what can i do about it?

Halifax current account bank charges on overdraft
wiggins replied to uktigger's topic in Halifax Bank and Bank of Scotland
halifax have just settled my claim under hardship. £627.00 -
beleive it or not , nor very far. i had to put the account in the hands of a dmc, then made an official complaint to the office in sheffield. Abbey advice me of the hardship ruling (which i was aware of) and i asked for the relevant paperwork to complete. (income/expenditure etc) I waited 4 weeks then phoned to ask if the received my paperwork and was told that a letter what posted yesterday. Money in bank the day after!!!

****UPDATE**** Abbey have refunded me £770 this morning under the hardship ruling but am i in a position to request removal of the default they place on my credit file?? many thanks
-
Hi all welcome to my new claim against abbey. I Ihave a current account with a £500 o/d limit which is overdrawn by approx 750 due to abbey's charges. Last year i had an accident at home which left me unable to carry out my normal job and my income dropped by nearly £200 p/w. As a result of this i ended up having to put all my debts in the hands of a management company, and a managed bank account. Abbey continued to charge me every month for the origional charge and now i have placed the account in the hands of my management company, abbey want to close the account and place a default on my credit file. I have asked for the charges back to clear the debt quicker but they are not interested and keep quoting "oft and test case" blah blah. Are they allowed to do this?

Hell no! cause not overflow, panic not i'm not easily offended in any way. Think you might be right though, maybe SSL or Gary H or someone could have a look.

disgusting???????? it's nothing more than a joke:mad:

Been to CAB overflow and they, like everyone else including OFT,FOS and BBA will not get involved in anything to do with banks and charges. Its a shame really but i can see where they are coming from when they too know that they would end up banging heads on walls. Thing that annoys me the most is that nobody at HBOS even wants to talk about it either.
