  1. HSBC have paid up in full following mcol and withdrawn confidentiality! Trouble is between agreeing to pay and my son actually receiving the cheque he recieved a call from customer service asking if he wanted to increase his overdraft as he had exceeded his limit. My son declined stating that his partner had now returned to work following the birth of their daughter and financing would improve. He was then informed that he would incur £125.00 excess overdraft charges if he did not increase his facility. He advised that he had already recovered unlawful charges and was not willing to pay any more. The nice lady very quickly ended the phone call. His statement arrived with the unlawful charges levied and he went to his local branch to complaint, the manager said he was unable to do anything as my son had already gone over his head with a previous claim. My question then:- Should he now write to Allan Petty or start a new claim? I have noticed that accounts are being closed once a second claim is made. Some advice please !!!!!!
  2. Oooops forget to take a copy of AQ before I hand delivered it to the court yesterday. Have I messed up by not sending Barclays a copy of AQ?
  3. Does anyone out there have an email address for Lawrence White at Barclays Customer Relations? If you do, could you post it up as soon as possible, many many thanks viv16
  4. Hi BSR click on library under the bank action group heading and all the letter templates are there. good luck viv16
  5. Hi cmorlife, Just copy the Data Protection letter from the templates library and send it off including your cheque for £10.00 dont forget to use the templates for business accounts. Ive just received my payment in full without conditions in just over 10 weeks, just stick at it and dont let them fob you off cos believe me they will try! Good luck (not that you'll need it) if I can help at all let me know. viv16
  6. Ive just posted on the HSBC forum because after successfully recovering my unlawful charges from Lloyds IN FULL WITH NO CONDITIONS I am also taking on HSBC on behalf of my son and Barclays on behalf of my daughter in law. Yet again another set of tactics! In response to the pal barclays responded by saying they would look into our complaint and get back to us in about a month - WE DONT THINK SO MR BARCLAYS! After the letter before action they have responded with an offer of £330, less than have they owe, again WE DONT THINK SO MR BARCLAYS! This 8% interest they are letting us claim is great! Tomorrow we file money claim and so we add £179.50 interest plus costs. Will the banks ever learn - BRING IT ON! 25th July - Data Protection letter S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) sent 15th August - pal sent 20th August - letter received - we get back to you in about a month 30th August - Letter before action sent 13th September - offer of partial settlement as good will gesture
  7. Having successfully recovered my unlawful charges from Lloyds TSB, I am now tackling my sons bank on his behalf. It makes me smile to encounter the tactics of a different bank and just goes to show how important it is to read as much here as you can. HSBC did not respond to the pal but 12 days after sending the lba including a schedule of charges they are disregarding the second letter and responding to the first now by requesting a schedule of charges so that they can investigate the matter. They just dont listen do they. When we say they have 14 days to repay in full thats what we mean - THEIR DELAYING TACTICS ARE SO WELL KNOWN NOW THAT THEIR CONTINUED USE OF THEM BEGGERS BELIEF! Oh well HSBC get ready cos moneyclaim will be filed tomorrow - YOU WERE WARNED! 25th July Data Protection SAR sent 15th August - Pal sent 30th August - letter before action sent, (inc schedule of charges) 12th September - letter received requesting schedule of charges

  13. Hi, If they are sending you junk mail about loans and such like you must be in their good books, I think they only close accounts on people who have been in recent difficulties then they say its because you have not kept your account in order. I think you will be ok, just stick to your guns and remember its YOUR MONEY! Good luck viv16
  14. Hi Andy, come on mate if you've read this site you know we have all had the same letter as you, its time for your letter before action. Just make sure that if you give them 14 days to respond that you are able to file the claim on day 15 and pay the fee. the very best of luck, we are all routing for you! viv16
