Through the normal process of dropping off at one of the local shops, I have sent two large parcels, the up to 10kg in weight size, containing 11 books in each, via Evri
The books were sold via Ebay as a set for £175. I did not opt for the additional insurance as Evri are THE national carriage company.
I received notification of delays when I asked them why the parcels had not been delivered after one week, there was a series of communications with their customer services apologising etc for delays. They then said there would be a thorough search / investigation as to where the parcels were.
After 4 weeks they admitted that the parcels were lost and offered me £20.
I complained again but to not avail and they said that the matter was now closed. Someone in their organisation has lost or stolen my parcels, either in transit or in one of their depots. I have lost valuable books, I have had to return the purchase price to the purchaser and lost money to Ebay as their percentage of the sale.
What do I do? Write to their Managing Direction ?
