  1. The route so far has been a disjointed one. Details of my insurance name address were sent to the depot supervisor and in turn he assured me the insurance company would be in touch soon. Pictures and video were taken and the driver made a statement to video which was witnessed by my neighbour. The supervisor obviously didn't rush to inform the insurance company as I had to chase via two departments in Dpd and finally ended up with a contact and incident number with their escalations department. As of yesterday I now have a claim number via their insurance broker with a promise of resolution within the next few days. The frustrating part is the vehicle is unroadworthy due to the damage sustained and my wife is having to use both mine and my son's vehicle which obviously isn't ideal. I will update the situation as and when progress is made.
  2. Dpd driver reversed into my vehicle, which was witnessed by my neighbour. The driver did make an attempt to find out who's vehicle it was rather than drive away and details were exchanged. He admitted the fault was his and that his supervisor would engage the services of their insurance. This never happened. I informed my insurance and they have logged the incident but advised me to see what transpires with Dpd and if any problems come back to them. I managed to get an incident/complaint number and have been contacting their escalations department for a week with no resolution in sight and a massive amount of frustration as my vehicle is now unroadworthy and a video quote from a local body repair business literally writes the vehicle off (Value approx 3000-3200 - quote is 2200-2500 + VAT). Why Dpd don't get their insurance company involved is beyond me, when the overwhelming evidence puts the responsibility firmly with them. Any help would be very welcome.
