thank you, bankfodder. Looks like I'll have to pay for my ignorance. Answer the question why I would only have £100 insurance. Because I am an international student and I am shocked at how backward the courier industry is in the UK. I have never lost a parcel in my country, nor have any of my friends, and losing a parcel is a very occasional and extremely unlikely event. If a parcel is additionally insured, it means that it cannot be lost. So I didn't even think my parcel would be lost in a developed country. Let's hope that the UK courier industry improves in the future. Also, can I ask if anyone has tried to find a lost parcel themselves, such as going to a parcel depot or auction house?

Dear team, thank you very much for your freely shared knowledge, I have learned a lot. I have spent a lot of time reading the threads about evri but I still have doubts and I hope someone could answer them for me. My situation is a little different to what people have experienced before, I ordered evri through parcelcompare, a third party platform, and purchased additional insurance for £100, but the actual value of the items in the parcel was £1500. Now the parcel has been lost and parcelcompare have agreed to pay me for the delivery and insurance, £123. After that they credited my account with a speed that I didn't have time to reflect and I didn't even have time to refuse. Does this mean I will never get the real full amount of compensation again? The contents of the package are very important to me and I don't even want the money if possible but I know it's almost impossible
