Hi everyone, I bought a car for my girlfriend. But after the relationship finished, she uses the car irresponsibly… Left it without oil, does not do any maintenance. We're splitting up, she made an offer to buy my house and I'm just waiting for the contract. She wants to give me the car back and take it off the house value. I didn't agree. But now she said that she lost the car's V5C and that the insurance company informed her that the car is in someone else's name. I'm pretty sure she's going to try something dirty with this, something like saying that I transferred the car to my name without her permission, or that I took her car... all to lower the price she offered on my house. What could I do? How do I know if the car is in my name? Thanks
