  1. I will have a shop around and get back to you. Thank you again for all your help
  2. Sorry, I’m just really stressing about the insurance. I’ve just had a quote and it’s almost £400.
  3. Hi, just doing an online chat with my current insurer and they’re asking for a conviction code held by the DVLA. I’ve logged in and cannot find one. There saying that this fraud conviction details will be held by the DVLA
  4. Sorry. I really do not understand what that means. I haven’t told my current insurer at the moment because it states on my policy documents I didn’t need to tell them until renewal (which is at the end of the month). I have done a new quote with them online to see how much it would be and it just comes up more expensive. I was going to call them and tell them about my conviction to see how much it would be as the price may be different online, but now if I tell them now they could possibly refuse the policy? is this correct?
  5. How will do I know if they will refuse my insurance though? I have done a new quote online with them with the conviction on and it’s just more expensive.
  6. I’ll call them and see what they say. Could they cancel my insurance before renewal if I inform them now?

  8. It states I do not have to tell them until I am due for renewal on my policy documents
  9. I have just contacted direct line and they do not need to be notified of criminal convictions You will not be able to declare that. Please do not add it as we do not need information for such crimes. Vaibhav at 9:00, Feb 5: Please be assured! You at 9:01, Feb 5: But it is a criminal convictionRead Vaibhav at 9:01, Feb 5: We only record motoring and motoring criminal convictions.
  10. How soon can I ask current company? My insurance runs out 25th feb. It states that I do not have to report of any convictions until renewal, so if I tell them now will it change things?
  11. Yes, I have saw these too… is it worth asking my current insurer for a quote with the conviction or does this affect anything?
  12. I’ve looked and I think with all of them you have to declare any criminal convictions before you purchase the insurance.
  13. You or any person living with you or covered under this policy have never been convicted of and/or charged with any offence (other than motoring convictions and/or any convictions spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act) and do not have any prosecutions pending That’s what direct line says
