Guys, I had the hearing this afternoon. It was probably the shortest hearing in history. Judge "have you received the WS" "Yes" Judge looking at the VCS solicitor "you have no entitlement, do you?" VCS solicitor "No. Furthermore as an officer of the law, it's my duty to inform you the contract between JLA and VCS expired in 2015 and I haven't seen an updated one. Also, by law, the parking charge should include a start and stop time of the parking and here there's only one timestamp." Judge: "That's that then. Case dismissed." Judge looking at me said "would you like to say anything" I said "no thank you" Judge thanked the solicitor for making it a very brief hearing. That was it. Less than 2 mins, possibly 1 min. Fair play to the solicitor's evaluation. Didn't want to drag out a non-winnable situation. The thought of seeking expenses and compensation crossed my mind for 1 millisec when the judge asked me if I would like to say anything, but decided against it. Thank you so much guys. You're brilliant.

Guys, Please find attached the JLA road plan. I've added in blue where I stopped (for 40 seconds). Basically I thought the Long Stay car park (shown as 3 in the diagram) was the one I had pre-booked, but as I was about to enter the lane going towards the car park, I couldn't see any signs for "Imagine Car Park", therefore turned my car immediately as the lane was heading towards the car park barrier with no way of turning around except to reverse out. My pre-booked car park is also shown in blue in an industrial estate about 100 metres from where I stopped with the same postcode as the airport. This diagram is from VCS WS. Also, I drove into the Pickup car park shown as 10 just to work out where my car park was located and paid £3 to leave. LFI - you've asked for the whole WS, but as I mentioned it's identical to Flamjam's post 58, except the WS wording itself is slightly different, the rest is identical, I've triple checked. Flamjam received his MCOL on the same day I received mine. So VCS were probably having a purge on who to target. DX100UK - yes I use Windows PC. It's not a great excuse, but I've spent many hours trying to edit the VCS WS and I think with all the great help I've received here I don't know if it will add any more to my case, particularly as Flamjam received the identical WS. Brassnecked - did you have any luck with taking photo's at JLA? I guess I'll run through my own WS to the judge, as it seems there's enough silver bullets to kill a pack of werewolves. I'll print off the email confirmation from Wali for the receipt of my WS, in case they try the "didn't receive the WS shenanigans." The 10th Feb date is still provisional, so I still need to confirm 2 days before with the Court if it's going ahead - according to the Court Order. Thanks JLA Plan.pdf

Guys, Please find VCS WS attached. I took the body of the WS to reduce it from 46 pages to 8. The rest of the other 38 pages is identical to Flamjam's post 58 regarding PCN's, reminders, signage, location. In fact the majority of the WS was the same as Flamjam's. This WS includes about selling Buckingham Palace and stocks/shares. Note! I did a PDF to Word conversion online - took the body and editted it as the format was all over the place. Did a Select All and tried to change it to single font type, but didn't happen. Hopefully it's readable. If not I'll try again. Thanks VCS WS.pdf

Thanks. I spent about 2 hours using the PDF editor someone sent on this forum, then to be told at the end - this cannot be saved. I'll try again tomorrow. Also I wanted to have the comments on VCS WS fresh in my mind.

Hi, They wrote the following on the fine "who had reason to believe that the following contravention had occurred and that a penalty charge is now payable. 06 Parked without clearly displaying a valid pay and display ticket" So does that mean they regard this as a contravention? Thanks

Thanks Michael - GOOD CALL, 2 photo's attached - the angle he's taken the photo show's the date is difficult to read and admittedly I could've taken a photo from a different angle to show the date more clearly, I didn't take any photo's (I was a bit flustered ). It does show MO for Monday clearly. Based on the warden's photo and parking fines are a stealth tax, I guess my chances of an appeal are how compassionate the adjudicator in MCC feels - not very. As mentioned the only way it would've reached so low down the dashboard is wind - I certainly wouldn't put it there - it was actually very difficult to reach it with my hand when I tried to reach it. It would be interesting to read your views, if I have a case or not. Great. I was going to wait for a response here before sending anything. I have the valid ticket showing expiry was an hour before the fine given. Also my 20 year old daughter was in the car as well, so have a witness too. It's on street parking.

Hi All, I received a parking fine yesterday (25th July) from Manchester city council for not displaying a parking ticket properly. It was on top of the dashboard, the WHOLE ticket was visible. There is no way in a million years it wasn't displayed properly. The only thing I will say is that I put it on the dashboard very close to the steering wheel and perhaps when I shut the door it moved it closer to the bottom of the windscreen, but still 100% visible. Last time I received a parking charge from a private operator in 2019 I received lot's of do's and don't's from this forum and indeed I did all the don't's. So I don't want to make any mistakes again. My natural feeling is to reply back to the council today and say the parking warden needs new glasses. The fine is £25 within 14 days and £50 within 28 days. Is there anything I can do to stop the clock whilst the dispute takes place? Is the burden of proof on them to say it wasn't displayed properly or can the warden give fines based on which side of the bed he woke up? Thanks Jimmy

Hi All, This morning I received a Court Order via email from the local Courts:- IT IS ORDERED THAT 1. Due to a lack of judicial availability the hearing 24 June 2022 is adjourned. 2. Parties are to file any dates to avoid to cover the next 9 months within 14 days of the date of this order. Dated 22 June 2022 I'll file my dates with the Court.

FTMDave - with regards your post 68 above, unfortunately I had already gone through the VCS online appeals and therefore naively declared myself, which I wrote in my post 26'ish. The rest of the recommendations were incorporated and managed to email both to the court and VCS (Mr.Wali) and delivered by hand a hard copy to the Court before 4pm yesterday. I received automated email responses from the Court. I also resent my WS to Mr.Wali, requesting confirmation of receipt and to my surprise this morning he replied saying the WS has been received. So at least the not delivered WS sheningans can't happen at the hearing. Thank you again for your great support.

Indeed Flamjam's giant shoulders - I found Flamjam's "planning permission" withdrawal for the signage VCS rely on:- Liverpool | Liverpool City Council | Application | 157430 LAR.LIVERPOOL.GOV.UK Isn't this the biggest silver bullet amongst many others? VCS or the Airport have erected a tonne of signposts for "no stopping" amongst many others without planning permission granted.
