  1. We are looking into starting legal action once we have heard back from trading standards. I’ll attach screenshots of the vehicle we purchased and messages exchanged etc. screenshots.pdf We will be also taking action in regards to contacting the police and going through court proceedings
  2. Ours is the same! I believe he buys his vehicles from an auction and sells them on when ours arrives it had auction stickers on the dash as well as marker pen that looked as though it had tried to be rubbed off the windscreen. he’s a major con man. if you go on to market place on Facebook and type in his phone number his number is linked to a Facebook account under ‘Ash Adam’ and has for sale numerous cars
  3. Yes we are aware of this believe he is linked to one of these addresses after looking at other forums etc. 101 Vibart Road B26 2AB or 165 Kelynmead Road B33 8LF
  4. I believe we are not the only people who have been sold a falsely advertised car by ‘ James Harrison Cars’ seemed to be an RAC approved dealer upon research now all his advertisements etc seem to have been removed. we purchased a discovery 3 in which was advertised with receipts, a full service history, valeted and so on. Well it arrived nothing as described, we initially said we wanted him to take the car back on arrival as he stated ‘ 14 day money back guarantee if you are unhappy with the vehicle but this discovery is immaculate inside and out’ The car arrived off the back of a delivery truck ‘urban logistics’ upon arrival the delivery driver told us not to shut the drivers door? after further investigation the door card was off and the drivers side window regulator was broken. The window kept falling through, Also arrived with no receipts and a very forged looking service book. contacted the so called seller straight away and he said that the door card was on when the transportation company picked the car up and put the phone down. after speaking with urban logistics they told us they had been made aware by ‘the security’ from where they had collected the car from not to shut the door and that the door card was already off on collection of the vehicle. ‘Ash’ according to his Facebook profile told us to get the issue fixed and send him the invoice and he will ‘sort it’ Contact was stopped between him and my partner as he blocked his number etc. I then contacted ‘ash’ in which he didn’t really see what my issue was ‘I don’t understand you do know you purchased a used car which isn’t brand new’ ‘ you need to understand there is always going to be little bits and bobs that will need doing it isn’t perfect main thing is the engine and gearbox is sound’ We ended up having to pay for the window to be sorted out selves as we have two very young children and no other form of transport as we purchased this vehicle following our car being written off from a car accident. We have had to replace the battery as faults started occurring on the car due to the battery not giving out enough voltage. now the car is coming up with a transmission fault and is undriveable as it will not stay in drive. Now awaiting on what our next step is with trading standards.
  5. Hi do we have an update on whether you’ve had any contact with yewtree cars/ James Harrison/ Ash Adam ? We purchased a discovery in January and have had nothing but problems with the vehicle. He has blocked all contact with us. We are in contact with trading standards.
