  1. Okay, thanks all. Obviously it's a stress but I'll take your advice.
  2. Okay thanks. Excuse my ignorance but what happens when they sell it on?
  3. Yes, client as MBNA. this is what they sent and the best scan I could do. Many thanks Aug_27__Doc_1.pdf
  4. I have received the CCA and there’s a default note on my file in April 2019.
  5. MBNA are who the debt was with originally. I just don’t want it passed on and would like to know if I can settle it and move on.
  6. Hi, I hope someone can help with some information/advice please. A couple of years ago I got into financial trouble; stress, depression, divorce, gambling, amongst other things. I had a debt with MBNA that I'd put on hold as was unable to pay (£6538.12). After my divorce I changed address and moved to parents as had to sort myself out mentally and physically - which I'm happy to say I am now much better. I recently started receiving letters from Credit Security Ltd who say they've been instructed by MBNA to recover the money (which I know I owe). They say if I don't pay/contact them they will pass my debt to a Debt Collection Agency, start visiting my (parents') home and add more costs on for recovering the debt. My questions are: - should I deal with them or with MBNA directly - should I offer a settlement sum (and if so, what percentage of the debt would be a good starting point) - can they add additional costs/pass my debt onto a more ruthless agency - any other advice please Thanks in advance!
