  3. Hi, I was recently involded in an accident, in late 2018, where a pedestrian accused me of hitting her when I was reversing. I did not hit her and I was arguing with her about it but she believed I did. She filed no police report or call the ambulance, did not take down any of my details and she just went about her day. (keep in mind I saw the women who claimed to be hit walking fine the next day) A couple a weeks later I recieved a letter from a solicitor making a personal injuries claim. Of course what followed was a call from XS Direct. I told them I did not hit her and she was lying. But they sent an inverstigator and I said the same thing. I did not recive any corrospindent from XS direct for over a year about the accident (they even sent me my no claims 1year bounus email) . My policy has been over with them for at least 6 months. randomly, I received a letter through the post saying that I have to pay £3000 for all section claim. They send me a brief breakdown which states that the personal injuries came up to £4000. of which £3000 I have to pay. I just wanted to know is there a way of me beating this or am I stuck with a £3000 pound dept at the age of 21 that I can not afford?
