  3. Thanks Barty. Well i've heard nothing from Lloyds since i started the court action. They were served on 04/12/06 so they still have 8 days left. Does anyone think i'll have to go to court? If so i'd better start preparing what to do next, this is the worrying bit . Do i have to present at the court or can it be done by letter, fax, email or phone . HEEEEEEEELP
  4. Hiya guys Well i sent the LBA on monday and received a letter from lloyds saying they do not agree with the OFT's thinking on the new guidelines and they are still talking it through with them. Then they left a message on my answer machine saying they are still declining to 'cancel my charges' and this is their final response. I'm sure they will go to court when the time is up,do you think i have anything to worry about?
  5. Hi guys, Sorry for the delay but i've been ill. Hiya Tideturner.....the shares were allocated when they floated the company and were then taken over by The Halifax......i think! Does anyone think i should persue this? The problem being that I'm sure the BM would only discuss this with both of us and as i'm no longer with the a***hole it would be more than difficult.
  6. Hiya Guys, I received the info from Lloyds 25/10/06....not bad eh! I have sent the prelim letter today 30/10/06 requesting the return of £3000, I can't believe how much they've taken over the last 4 years no wonder the banks are all making so much profit and then they have the cheek to boast to everybody and anyone who will listen I will keep you all informed.
  7. Hiya Ladymoonray, I'm following your case with interest,i too have a problem with Paragon regarding ppi (see my thread),so i'll keep reading and if i can help i most certainly will. Good luck and go get em girl

  14. I am half way through reading these pages with interest and its set me thinking, I bought a new car from a local garage in 2003 and on the agreement it says Total Cash Price £13150.00 Less Deposit £8150.00 Amount of Credit £5000.00 Charges £1044.16 Acceptance fee £109.00 Credit Facility Fee £60.00 Total Charge For Credit £1213.16 Balance Payable £6213.16 Total Amount Payable £14363.16 APR 11.7 I was wondering does anyone know what the charges etc are for and can i claim anything back. I sold the car in 2004 and paid off the finance. Appreciate any help guys. Thanks saranev. ****I WON.....THE HALIFAX SETTLED IN FULL****
  15. Well guys guess what?? I've WON. I received an acknowledgment that the claim was going to be defended by the Halifax yesterday along with a letter from the Halifax saying "without admission of liability,Halifax is willing to reimburse £2,578 in respect of bank charges incurred blah blah blah" in the same post This morning the money is in my bank..hurrah, i can't believe it, they must be running scared eh?
  16. Thanks Mechs. Can i request them if they were in joint names and i'm no longer with the other person? Do i have to inform or include him?
  17. do you think so? if i get some recompence from the Halifax i will try the other banks i have dealt with over the years. Can i ask for statements from closed mortgage accounts?

  19. I paid the mortgage we had with The Birmingham Midshires through my bank, after my partner and i split up i continued to pay the mortgage by myself they refused to take his name off. After 3/4 years they floated the company and sent the shares to my ex who refused to give them back to me or them, i rang them frequently regarding the shares but they said he was the first name on the mortgage even though i was paying it and still living in the house When i sold the house he had to sign the papers but there was no mention of the shares. Has this happend to anyone else? Is there anything i can do about it after all this time
  20. I have re-read the HMCS site and they have 14 days from today 11/09/06,and then another 28 days if they submit a defence. See I'm getting clever or at least READING things thoroughly as advised. Thanks for your support guys will keep you informed. saranev
  21. HAHAHA. I submitted my Money Claim Online on friday 08/09/06. Now all i can do is wait. How long before they have to reply/defend?
