I bought a child ticket because it's half the price and that day I just wanted to save some money. I got on the train and unconsciously I raised on foot to put it onto the seat in front of me, the heel of my shoe resting just on the edge of the seat Just as I did so a person caught me and started questioning me, I gave all my correct information, except my birthdate which I had to change due to the fact I showed her I had a child ticket. I'm 16 and obviously tried to come off as 15. They took my details and they didn't fine me, but they said their just going to send it to Merseyrail and they may decide if they want to take actions, she said I might get a letter back but it's nothing big. I'm just scared they'll find out my real age - as I want to go into medicine and I really don't want to appear on a CRB scan as lying about my age and avoiding paying full price for a ticket is for worse than my feet on the seat I'm terrified and I was wondering what will happen? Can they find out? If so can I still go into medicine?
