i am sorry. but i have tried and searched a lot about the legal authorities of RPL but couldnt find that. can they contact my university? or can tk maxx involve police or court now? according to tk maxx they have my cctv footage.

few days back approximately 10days I was caught shoplifting a 10GBP stuff and was caught at the exit by the security. they took me to a room saying there are cameras here which record the voice as well. i was shivering and agreed to what i did but tried to explain since i never do this and forgot to do the billing the lady got angry and ask me to admit i did. she didnt call the police. she took my debit card account no., student roll no., university name and my phone no. and the hotel address as i am staying in a hotel and finding my accommodation. she made me signed the 12 month banned form from tkmaxx and told that i will receive a letter from RPL. she didnt say me about the fine thing clearly. till now i haven't received any letter. how much fine will it be approx? can someone give me an idea. if not paid what will happen? as that lady was really rude? any criminal offence in record?
