  1. Dx100 - thank you once again for your input. Scanning through the other threads it seems everyone hits this "DAF wall" and fob- off letter - has anyone been successful without having to go to court? As I asked before - should I still make a SAR to DAF? Thanks. Teecay
  2. Dx 100 - should/ can I approach Direct Auto for a SAR instead if Provident are saying they don't have my details? Looking through the documents ( most of which I have) - the PPi is in the name of Credit Acceptance Corp. uk .Ltd are they subsidiaries of Direct Auto Finance? It seems Credit Acceptance Corp was dissolved in July 2010.
  3. Dx100 - Thank you for your time, I did mention Yes car credit or PPi as you advised .. I told them I needed it for financial records. As they have said they do not have data for more than 6 years and they could not find my name in their system. Should I call them back and be specific about Yes car and PPi?
  4. Dx100 - what I made to understand they have checked my name, DOB , address and nothing came up in 6 years of data that they have. And they only have data going back 6 years - anything before that has been destroyed.
  5. Dx100uk - I called Provident and made a SAR , left my details etc , then got a phone from a member of staff saying they could not find any information on me and stated that all their data only goes back 6 years and anything beyond that has been expunged from the system. Is there any recourse? Teecay.
  6. I assume sar is a request for records …? I believe I have all the original documents from the transaction or do I need to request for a specific document. And I also assume it will be Provident finance not Provident Insurance …… and is there a dedicated contact number? Is Provident the designated underwriter for Yes Car credit to whom all PPi claims are sent? Thank you. Teecay
  7. I have gone through a few of the links and it seems a few of them are at different stages. I need to know / confirm how to start the process correctly - who I do try to claim against initially and proper sequence. Thank you.
  8. I had a part exchange deal with Yes Credit around 2008 and I hoping for some advice regarding claiming back from them. I have researched claiming , but noticed others were having issues not knowing who to claim from since the dealership no longer exists. Is trying to claim is viable? Teecay. PS: I don't have twitter.
