  1. If it were either my wife or me driving at that time, we both have UK and French address's so either way we could be found, but our son probably could not be caught up with I believe, unless France has arrangements with Hong Kong, as he lives and works there , in which case they may well revert to Frances keeper liability. if it was he who was driving. In any event it is a small amount, but worth investigating fully the situation We will pass along that way next week, minus son, and we may remember who was driving at that point. many thanks for input
  2. I totally agree that it is the future annoyance that it is best to avoid, but who was driving ? I have no idea at the time, I simply cannot recall. In the car were my wife and son also and we always share the drive if we travel together. I am going that way next week so will be able to check the location and I may be able to remember. Is there any issue at all in respect of the changes in speed limits introduced a while ago does anyone know ? Cheers
  3. Useful input folks, I have no known previous in France, I do use a ferry company but they have no means of keeping records, it will change later this year with the introduction of a new system. I am inclined that it is a genuine letter but not sure they can do much with it as such under UK law as the driver is not declared or claimed, but the consideration I do have is that being such a frequent visitor whether or not avoidance could signal problems in the future on attempting to enter the country. Ethel Street has kindly posted a useful link to the RAC advise page. So really I don't know what the exact legal position is currently, it could just be an invitation to submit a payment ?? any thoughts everyone Poppy's Dad
  4. I will copy and redact and get posted, I am sure that it was a 90Kmh limit previously and I have to say not at all sure the limit is posted now. I am going that way next week so will check. I do travel the road twice a month as was surprised I recall when I saw a flash. Here are two of the docs, the 3rd is an exemption request form many thanks
  5. Good morning I have owned a house in France for 20 years and drive in France with my UK registered vehicle 20+ times a year. I do not make a habit of breaking the speed limits, but have always believed that there is no mechanism in place for pursuing UK motorists back to UK. Of course if you are stopped and fined in France you pay or if in a hire car it is likely that the rental company will take the charge from your deposit. I was very surprised to receive last week a document entitled "Payment Notice" all in English but on what appears to be French official letter. The alleged offence being recorded at 88Km/h in an 80 restricted zone. The location and date time fits my journey on the day in question. The date in question was 15 November 2018. The vehicle reg number was mine and car identified correctly on make model and colour. Anyone have any ideas if the French are now able to catch up with us and what jurisdiction do they have if any, or is it a clever [problem]? thanks
  6. One well worded letter and they have decided that their chance of defending a counter claim from us is not as appealing as they would like. They have decided to drop any claim. Thanks for input all who contributed.
  7. Its a holiday home, but there is also one in France. I am minded at this stage to just sit back and do nothing, attempting to get them to change their position by sending copy of the paid ticket will only demonstrate receipt of the notice. Are they able to pursue the keeper without knowledge of the actual driver ?
  8. I wonder if the drivers address in Grenada as main residence would cause them an issue or two ? Thanks for redacting for me.
  9. They have indeed provided a link, but one has to initiate an appeal to gain access by entering PCN ref and driver details !!! So will leave that alone as that confirms to some extent receipt of a PCN There was no ticket on the screen on the day. The picture of a white "something with 4 wheels" appears to have been taken from an elevated position indicating CCTV but not necessarily ANPR. I have had issues with this park in the past and run them a right old game as we own 3 white VW's and all where in the area at the same time on the same day and to complicate matters all 3 cars were driven by different drivers on arrival and departure as we all met there to exchange cars.
  10. For tickets received through the post (Notice to Keeper) please answer the following questions. This is a NtK 1 Date of the infringement 6 June 018 2 Date on the NTK 11 June 2018 3 Date received 13 June 2018 4 Does the NTK mention schedule 4 of The Protections of Freedoms Act 2012? Yes 5 Is there any photographic evidence of the event? Claimed that there is. 6 Have you appealed? No Have you had a response? N/A 7 Who is the parking company? One Parking Solution Ltd For either option, does it say which appeals body they operate under. There are two official bodies, the BPA and the IAS. If you are unsure, please check here The NtK only mentions their own internal appeals procedure and POPLA

  12. Now two letters from write hassle find me. neither saying much that concerns me I have to say.
  13. I may be mis informed, SSS still showing as active, but I receved a notice on my financial info package that they had been struck off just checked London Gazette and nothing there. This is odd. anyone have other info ?
  14. An interesting matter, following on the demise of sussex security Solutions Ltd I now receive a letter from a company ZZPS Limited, a quick glance at their last filing shows them as being £8000 insolvent and annual returns overdue. Letter sent to a previous address of mine. but passed on to me by chance as I bumped into my past house's new owners. ZZPS Limited claim to be a debt recovery company run by a Gary Osner born in 1964. All seems tiresome to me. Are these people new on the block ? the company was formed in 2011 but as usual worth didley squat, due to insolvency they would probably not welcome having to make a payment into court prior to a hearing which would be a more than reasonable requirement to request.
  15. For information Sussex Security Solutions Ltd have been struck of the register of companies as at 13 June 2017.
