  1. Sorry for the late reply, it didn't notify me. I had no joy from them, phoned twice, although the wife got a less surly response when she tried, and as it was 1 day before the increase the Mrs panicked and paid it.
  2. Ok, will get back on to the planning dept tomorrow. So will my above points ever be worth mentioning if i can get any joy with planning and pics? Also at the risk of sounding like an idiot, what do you mean by "googlenoseyparker" do you just mean street view on google maps? Thanks
  3. Many thanks, i have phoned them but they were not very forthcoming with the information. I was going to try again tomorrow, or better yet i was going to get the wife to try again tomorrow. When i appeal with Popla, shall i at last mention that my wife (the registered keeper) was not the driver? Should i do the appeal as if from her? Will this then start the ball rolling again as they will come after me? Is this even worth doing or shall i just appeal as if from my wife? Do you not think i should not mention the rain, and that i was idling outside the shop waiting for the mrs and kids to get in for a period of the "overstay"? I guess from your answer this may be a flimsy appeal? To sum up, I was hoping to cite the grace period and why i was over, was going to mention the car park was no where near full, and that i had no option to pay the extra as they don't have any pay machines. Many thanks for any advice you can give.
  4. Hi, I received a parking charge notice on the 4th August, about an over stay in a 'free' retail park called Rheidol Retail Park in Aberystwth. The date of the this happened was 22/07/16. I overstayed according to them by 23 minutes. It was pouring down, and i had the wife and my three young kids with me, so they stayed in the shop and i went and got the car, the whole thing took longer than expected, which helped us be late out! Its my wife car, but i was driving. I wrote back appealing, but from my wife as the registered owner, not the driver. They requested evidence of purchase, but we have no receipts, only bank a statement of purchase from a store in that retail park. To compound the issue, the bank statement says a different day, but as we were on holiday there and left the day before the bank statement i guess its just a delayed payment. Anyway, got the POPLA appeal number now, so was hoping for a little advice on how to word it? I can't really check the carpark for signs or anything as its quite a distance away. I was also thinking if i let it go as far as court, i guess i would have to go back near the car park it happened in? What do you think my charges of a successful appeal? The Mrs would rather i just pay i think, but hate paying cowboys for nothing. Many thanks.
