  1. Good point, never trust a bank. Still able to do both concurrently and if you are made an offer await the DSAR before accepting...
  2. You don't necessarily need to do a DSAR, save the £10 and go straight to issuing a complaint to the bank. If you have the bank account number including sort code (or even just the name of the account e.g. royalties gold) then this will suffice as the account is recent. NatWest will have all the relevant information needed to investigate. Simply complete the PBA questionnaire and write to the bank including a signed letter stating your dad gives you permission to act on his behalf (if that's what he wants) and you can deal with it all. They may call you to go through the complaint but it sounds like an open shut case and as its recent they cant pull the 3/6 year time bar rule. (Obvs put www on the below but as first post doesn't like links) .financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/form/packaged-bank-accounts.pdf Complaints address - Natwest (PBA) Customer Care Team Waterside Court Western Avenue Chatham Kent ME4 4RT Any other questions let me know, the DSAR really wont help and will just cost you £10 and a long wait!
