  1. Hi there I was convicted in November 2012 of a second drink drive offence in 10 years therefore fell straight into the high risk offender scheme, I appealed after serving 2years of my 3 and bit year ban, I won my case due to having a job offer , this is not easy to do and requires a lot of planning and preparation also a good Solictor, I won my case on the 7th of may 2015, upon my case the police were informed I wasn't disqualified anymore and the DVLA at the same time I done what is required applied for driving license enclosed fee of £90 on the 11th may 2015, I didn't hear from the DVLA till the beginning of July, that was to confirm they receive my application and would be in contact in due course after many phone calls one department told me I was wasting my time because the system was showing I was disqualified still , I rang the courts to confirm my result the courts even rang the DVLA in my behalf to confirm I wasn't disqualified, after many more calls to the DVLA i eventually some to some one with a brain, I got my date for medical 22nd July 2015 now you will need to cut down drinking a fair bit nothing to drastic drink plenty of water and fruit juice cranberry is the best , took medical payed £98.50 in cash to doctor didn't even take ten mins in room , after the medical you give it 3 days you need to pester the day lights out the DVLA without losing your cool you will be put to bottom of queue again, the DVLA waiting for decision can take up too two months if you don't keep in them like I have you will get lost in system, it's a costly lesson but when you pay for something you expect to get what you pay for with a reasonable time frame I think it's fair to say
