    Kipper, How did you get on with claiming your money back? I've just had a similar experience with Tesco Bank. To me it's really straightforward - the booking fee is for a mortgage product not for the thrill of the application process. If the bank no longer wishes to offer that product then there is no reasonable basis to hang on to the booking fee surely..
